Curt Cardillo had an interest in landscaping and masonry as a young boy. Coming from a family with five other brothers, Curt found his niche doing yard work at an early age. He was born and raised in Hauppauge where he graduated from Hauppauge High School. Curt went on to study landscape design at Farmingdale State College. Curt’s college studies led to Curt working for a landscape company in the summer time which helped him to gain valuable experience and knowledge about the landscaping business. All of this resulted in Curt establishing his own landscape business that initially focused on cutting lawns for neighbors and friends. With the benefit of a very good work ethic and quality work his business grew from cutting lawns to a full landscape  maintenance/design company. Curt also learned from relatives who owned small businesses. He would have conversations with his grandfather about running his own business. His grandfather’s advice to Curt was to always be truthful and a person of high character when running a business. Curt’s customers commented very favorably on their high level of satisfaction with his work and his responsiveness to their needs in a prompt and thorough manner. They also liked the manner in which Curt worked very professionally with his crew. The nature of his work ranged from beautifying landscapes in many homes to installing paver patios to designing pool patios and building fire pits. Curt decided to join Gappsi because he knew he would be joining one of the elite landscape/masonary companies on Long Island. family with five other brothers, Curt found his niche doing yard work at an early age.
